How to Checkout a Walk-In Client

Once the service is complete, you can quickly collect payment from the appointment.

Step 1: Open the Appointment

  1. Go to your Dashboard

  2. Click on the appointment from the calendar

  3. Select Collect

If the appointment shows as Unpaid, it’s ready for checkout.


Step 2: Add a Tip (Optional)

Before payment, you can:

  • Select a preset tip percentage (10%, 15%, 20%, 25%)

  • Enter a custom tip amount

  • Skip the tip entirely

The total will automatically update.


Step 3: Choose Payment Method

You’ll see two options:

Card

Process the client’s card payment directly. (This shows up if you are connected to any payment processor)

Enter:

  • Card number

  • Expiration date

  • CVV

Then click Charge.

Cash

If the client pays in cash, select Cash to mark the appointment as paid.


Step 4: Payment Confirmation

Once processed, you’ll see:

  • Payment confirmation

  • Receipt details

  • Total charged

  • Payment method

  • Tip amount (if added)

Click Done to complete checkout.

Best Practices for Walk-In Checkout

  • Always collect payment immediately after service.

  • Confirm the service and amount before charging.

  • Add tips before finalizing payment.

  • Ensure the payment status changes to Paid.
