How to Create and Manage Services

Services are what your clients see and book on your SuiteCal booking page. Each service includes details like the name, duration, price, and visibility. This guide walks you through creating a service step by step and explains what each field means.

Step 1: Go to the Services tab

From your SuiteCal dashboard:

  • On desktop:
Use the left sidebar and click Services

  • On mobile:
Use the bottom navigation bar and tap Services

You’ll land on the Services page where all your existing services are listed.
You can drag and reorder services here to control how they appear to clients.

(Refer to the screenshot for the Services list view.)

Step 2: Click “Create Service”

On the top right of the Services page, click Create Service.

This opens the service creation form where you’ll add all the details for your new service.

Step 3: Fill in the Service Information

This section controls how your service looks to clients when they book.

Service Name *

This is the name clients will see on your booking page.

Example:
Classic Full Set
Haircut and Style

Tip: Keep it clear and client-friendly.

Service Image

You can upload an image to represent your service.

Supported formats: PNG, JPG, JPEG (up to 5MB)

Adding an image helps your service stand out and can improve bookings.
You can skip this for now and add it later if needed.

(Refer to the image upload screenshot.)

Description

Use this to explain what’s included in the service.

Example:
Includes consultation, full lash application, and finishing touches.

A short, clear description helps clients book with confidence.

Category

Choose the category this service belongs to.

Categories help organize your services on the booking page and make it easier for clients to browse.

Example:
Volume Lash Extensions
Hair Services

Duration (minutes) *

Enter how long the service takes, in minutes.

Example:
60
90
120

This is important because SuiteCal uses it to calculate availability and prevent double bookings.

Step 4: Set Pricing and Visibility

This section controls how much the service costs and who can see it.

Price *

Enter the price for this service.

Example:
99.00

This is the amount clients will pay when they book.

Visibility

Choose whether the service is Public or Private.

  • Public: Visible to everyone on your booking page

  • Private: Hidden from clients (useful for internal)

Step 5: Advanced Settings (Optional)

These settings help you manage time between appointments.

Buffer Before (minutes)

Extra time added before the service starts.

Example:
5 minutes to prepare your space or tools.

Buffer After (minutes)

Extra time added after the service ends.

Example:
5 minutes for cleanup or notes.

Buffers help prevent back-to-back bookings when you need breathing room.

Step 6: Create the Service

Once all required fields (marked with *) are filled:

  • Click Create Service at the bottom

  • Your service will appear in the Services list

  • If it’s public, it will immediately be available for clients to book

Helpful tips

  • Required fields are marked with a star (*)

  • You can edit a service anytime by clicking Edit from the Services list

  • Reorder services by dragging them to change how they appear to clients
